This post is based within the Low Incidence Team to be deployed to our Primary Local Authority Led Resourced Provision for Children with Vision Impairment at Grove House
The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

We are seeking to recruit to our team of qualified Teachers of the Vision Impaired and other professionals working with children with Vision Impairment across the Low Incidence Team within the Local Authority led Resourced Provisions (LARPs).
You will work as part of a team of specialist staff to contribute to the effective and efficient teaching and learning for vision impaired pupils at Grove House Local Authority led Resourced Provision and will:
- Teach and support Vision impaired pupils in the primary mainstream local authority led resourced provision with reference to their education, social and emotional development, liaising with mainstream teachers, parents / carers and other professionals, agencies and services as appropriate.
- Ensure the assessment and recording of pupils’ achievements and progress within statutory requirement and those of the school and Low Incidence Team.
- Participate in appropriate meetings with colleagues and parents / carers relating to all duties in this document, preparing reports and other documentation needed to ensure Vision impaired pupils’ needs are identified and appropriately met.
