Our qualifications are regulated by the non-ministerial department Ofqual, responsible for regulating qualifications, examinations and assessments in England.

The Role:

The primary relationship of the role will be with the Senior Quality Officer, whilst also working closely with the other Quality Officer. The role will be to maintain, develop and monitor the quality assurance policies and processes that support the UAL Awarding Body’s core business, its approved centres (schools, colleges and universities), qualifications and students.

Your Profile:

Degree educated or with an equivalent professional qualification, you'll have an understanding of 14-19 education policy, UAL Awarding Body qualifications, educational frameworks and the requirements of educational regulatory bodies such as Ofqual. You'll also have an understanding of the General Conditions of Recognition (GCR) and experience of working within a risk-based quality assurance environment.

You will have experience of the systems and processes that support the approval and monitoring of centres and you will have contributed to an Ofqual self-assessment or similar self-evaluation exercise. Experience of working with external verification and/or external moderation quality assurance models is desirable.

You will also have experience of using database and spreadsheet applications in an educational quality assurance context. Able to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail, you excel at analysing, interpreting and presenting complex information and data.
