Raising Achievement Mentor in Maths

SCALE 3 Actual salary £14,134 - £14,969 (pro-rata)
The governors wish to appoint a suitably qualified person to work as subject mentor in the Academy’s maths department.
The successful candidate’s primary role will be to raise achievement among disadvantaged and underachieving pupils, mainly at KS4, by working within mainstream lessons, delivering one to one and small group intervention sessions.
Applications are invited from candidates who think they have suitable knowledge and experience to support pupils up to GCSE level. Training and support will be provided. Applicants should be enthusiastic, able to work independently as well as part of a team. The post would provide invaluable school based experience for someone thinking about becoming a teacher.
The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will need to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.
Application forms and further details can be obtained from the Academy web site, www.clwacademy.co.uk
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 22 November 2017 at 12 noon.
