Are you an ambitious and passionate teacher looking for a leadership role in Mathematics?
Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill is looking to recruit a dynamic and inspiring middle leader to support our newly appointed Head of Mathematics. The post-holder will help to lead the next phase of curriculum development for our highly talented Mathematics team.
Lord’s Hill is a good school with improving outcomes over time, and is part of the highly successful Oasis Community Learning multi-academy trust. The successful candidate will share the ambition of community transformation, delivered by exceptional education at the heart of the community.
We are searching for somebody who can join us on the next phase of our journey. This will involve responsibilities and experiences which will provide excellent preparation for those aspiring for to be a Head of Mathematics in the future.

Job/Person Summary
The successful candidate will be required to teach all abilities across key stage 3 and 4 to the highest standard and continue to ensure that Mathematics remains core to all we do in Academy life.
This role offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate to develop their role working in collaboration with the other academies in Southampton. You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. We are looking for a passionate teacher who shares our desire for the highest academic standards for young people.
A willingness to support the Academy ethos and extra-curricular activities within the Academy is essential.

Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill opened in 2008 as part of the initial Academy programme. Since we have been open we have seen significant improvements in achievement, progress and attendance. Academic achievement has markedly improved for all students regardless of their needs or starting positions. In fact analysis of our data by prior attainment (low, middle and high) shows that we outperform most schools nationally. We have also seen a huge improvement in student attendance. This is a good indicator, because if students want to be at school they attend regularly.
We have a brand new building which offers our students outstanding learning opportunities. We are very fortunate to have these facilities and we are committed to making the most of them both for our students and the wider community.
