Job overview

We are looking to recruit a full-time Reception and General Admin post at George Eliot School.  The post will be for 37 hours per week, term time plus INSET Days.  

The Role

To be responsible for ensuring that all administration, clerical and financial tasks are produced to a high standard and operating an efficient reception service.  To assist with the planning of school visits and events such as parents evenings, open days etc. Deal with visitors to the Academy in line with MAT policies and procedures. Undertake routine clerical duties including generating documents, filings, data input. Operate standard office equipment including franking machine, fax, photocopiers  - Process telephone calls and ensure appropriate action is taken.

George Eliot is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. A smaller than average-sized secondary school, George Eliot will provide 950 places for secondary students aged 11-16, when fully subscribed.

The George Eliot High School opened in September 1961, set up as a new provision for the housing developments being built in the Nuneaton area. The school has expanded in size several times since then to accommodate its growing pupil numbers, most notably in 2002 when two new buildings were opened.
