Reception/Grade 1 Teacher

The English Gate School of Cantù is an innovative, private School catering for pupils from 1 to 13 years old, including Early Years, Primary and Middle School. The historic town of Cantù is in a picturesque area of Lombardia very near to Lake Como, the Alps and Switzerland. Being part of our school will allow the successful applicant to experience the rich and diverse culture of rural Italy. Annual events include ski trips, sailing lessons on Lake Como and celebrations of local and international festivals.

Our curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum with an integration of the Italian Programma Ministeriale in order to keep and value the knowledge of the Italian culture and language.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for teachers to join us for the academic year 2020-2021. We are looking for candidates who are:

• qualified with a Bachelors or Masters Degree of Education
• native- level English speakers
• experienced Early Years/KS1 teachers (experience teaching second-language learners would be beneficial)
• caring and nurturing
• enthusiastic and passionate about teaching
• highly organised with excellent classroom management skills
• flexible and capable of teaching across the curriculum
• capable of working independently or collaboratively with the school community
• A qualification or experience teaching the specialist areas of: Music, Computing or Art, will be advantageous to your application.
