About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful EYFS teacher to lead our small Reception class from September 2025. Clifton Lodge is a friendly co-ed prep school with small class sizes, where we focus on each child achieving their very best in a secure and nurturing environment.
NQT applications will be considered. Salary level will be dependent upon experience and qualifications.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a start date in September 2025.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher, a graduate with teaching qualification (B.Ed. / PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status. You should have experience in EYFS teaching, particularly in Reception, and a thorough understanding of the Early Learning Goals and Age-Related Expectations for EYFS. Knowledge and experience of KS1 and of ISI EYFS regulations is desirable but not essential. You must be able to demonstrate excellent classroom practice, adaptability, and the ability to meet deadlines. A commitment to working collaboratively to improve teaching and raise achievement is essential. If you are enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable, we’d love to hear from you.

Clifton Lodge is a small, friendly co-educational Nursery & Preparatory School for pupils aged 3-11 years. We welcome children to join Clifton Lodge at any point in the school year where we have places available; from Nursery when pupils are 3 years old through to Year 6 for excellent 11+ preparation.
The school has a Christian ethos, which combined with its broad curriculum gives pupils the knowledge, skills and moral foundations required for their future schools. We focus on small class sizes, with some specialist subject teachers.
Sport is played twice a week and there is a variety of music, art and drama available. Extensive free after school clubs are provided together with specialised clubs such as Chess, Computing & Ballet. Nutritious, hot cooked school lunches are prepared on-site in partnership with Thomas Franks Ltd.
The school motto is Optime, ‘try always to do your best’. This provides a reminder to pupils and staff alike that no matter what they have achieved so far, they can always try to attain more in the future.
