Reception/Year 1 Class Teacher

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, imaginative and dedicated teacher for our Reception/Year 1 class from September 2020.  

Kirkby la Thorpe is a small, rural Church of England Primary Academy, where our team of caring staff work closely to provide pupils with a wide range of high quality learning opportunities.   

We are looking for an exceptional applicant who:

o has high expectations for all children, so that they become confident, resilient and successful learners;

o has a thorough knowledge of the EYFS and can apply its principles to ensure the learning and progress of all individuals;

o understands the transition from EYFS to Year 1 and is able to manage this effectively, carefully planning next steps in learning;

o provides a stimulating and exciting learning environment;

o develops effective and positive relationships with all members of the school community;

o is hard working, creative and organised; and

o will promote our values of ‘kindness, learning, tolerance’ as part of our Christian ethos.
