The Governing Body is keen to appoint a high quality Early Years teacher to join our Early Years Team.  The person appointed will lead on Early Language and Learning, supported by our Assistant Head Teacher for Early Years.  He / she will join a team of supportive and ambitious year group leaders across the primary phase and will be given considerable non-contact management time to allow them to effectively fulfil their role (30% in total: please see the job description for full details).  As part of our job offer, successful candidates will have the option to complete National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership training if they do not already hold this qualification.  This is a full-time post, although we would consider part-time / flexible hours for the right candidate.

We are an ‘outstanding’ school and are determined to maintain this status for our students, who deserve an excellent education. We know we can only do this by providing an environment in which teachers and middle leaders enjoy working and feel valued and supported by senior leaders to do well. We work hard to provide this environment: each Reception class teacher is supported by a nursery nurse and specialist SEN LSAs where required; and our Reception classrooms are purpose built and well equipped to allow children to fully access the Early Years curriculum.

This is a very exciting time for Hillingdon Primary School as we lead on the development of The Elliot Foundation Teaching School and our work in leading a phonics hub.  We are thrilled at the opportunities this presents for our experienced teachers to work as Expert Teachers and / or Specialist Leaders of Education in other schools that we support.   We have a successful track record of enabling career progression: many of our middle leaders move on to senior leadership positions due to the opportunities we provide to support a teacher’s development and career.

We are proud to be part of the Elliot Foundation, a multi-academy trust specialising in primary education, and maximise the opportunities this presents to collaborate and work with other academies and like-minded teachers for the benefit of our students.  The Elliot Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Further information regarding The Elliot Foundation can be found at: http://www.elliotfoundation.co.uk

Further details of our school are availbale from our website http://www.hillingdon.hillingdon.sch.uk

Visits from prospective candidates are welcomed however we appreciate this is not always possible and time to see the school will be provided at interview. Please e-mail Mrs Grey (Office Manager) at sgrey@hillingdonprimaryschool.org.uk to arrange an appointment to visit our school, meet the Principal and staff.

Hillingdon Primary School is situated in a central location in Hillingdon Borough with good road connections to the A40, M4 and M25, together with good transport links.

CLOSING DATE: 23rd April 2019 - NOON

CVs will not be accepted
