A1/A3 (SCP 1-4) £17,842 - £18,933

Actual Salary: £10,552- £11,198

Contract: 25.5 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 Days

Monday & Tuesday 7.30am – 4.30pm (remaining hours by arrangement)

Elliott Hudson College is seeking to appoint a Receptionist who can also provide administration support.  A positive outlook and high standards of personal presentation are very important. The successful candidate will also have an excellent telephone manner, an aptitude for working under pressure and an appreciation of our strict rules of confidentiality. They will possess a compassionate manner and a desire to work closely with young people. This is an outstanding opportunity for a person who wishes to be fully involved in raising the aspiration and achievement of young people in the communities we serve.      

The following qualities are desirable but not essential: 

  • Experience of working in a school/college environment 
  • A first aid qualification

Key Skills: 

  • Friendly and well organised team-player. 
  • The ability to work using own initiative. 
  • Uses good interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students. 
  • Able to prioritise workloads. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SIMS. 
  • To work in partnership with colleagues across The GORSE Academies Trust.

Our reception team play an important role in providing the very best support services possible for our students.  We are very interested to hear from applicants who are keen to work on a part-time basis, ideally, you will have some experience of working within reception/admin but this is not essential.  More important is your ability to work positively and effectively as part of a team, have high professional standards and to take a real pride in your work and the college.  If you feel that you would be an excellent addition to our team we would be delighted to hear from you.
