Northern Education Trust (NET) is a charitable education Trust with a good track record for school improvement. The Trust sponsors 21 academies; 11 secondary and 10 primaries across the North of England in eleven Local Authority regions. Secondary academies within the trust provide Community Zone facilities, offering a wide range of facilities for hire to the public and community groups, including football, rugby, netball, badminton and may others.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and reliable individual with excellent customer service skills to act as the first point of contact for visitors on the community zone (central team) reception. This will include supporting large events hosted by the Chief Executive and other members of the executive team. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Services who oversees community zone activity across the trust, you will have first-rate organisational and ICT skills as well as excellent administrative and communication skills. You will be responsible for the administration and co-ordination of the community zone facilities, answering the telephone, dealing with queries, maintaining records on the School Hire system (on-line booking system), and working with trust academies to ensure that staff rotas are in place for community zone assistants. In addition, the role involves providing administrative support to other corporate functions (e.g. estates, HR, data, IT & communications, finance) when required, opening and distributing post, photocopying and maintaining stationary supplies.

Ideally, you will be willing to work towards a first aid qualification (full training will be provided), which carries a small additional allowance, so that you can be a nominated first aider.

There may be a requirement to travel to academies across the Trust on occasion.
