Role: Receptionist/Administrator (Maternity Cover)
Salary: WSCC Grade 5 Point 7 - 8 (actual starting salary £17,118 including London Fringe allowance)
Contract Type: Temporary maximum of 12 months (Maternity cover).
Full time, term time only plus INSET days and two days in the summer holidays.
37 hours per week over 5 days, 08:00 – 16:00 Monday – Thursday and 08:00 – 15:30 Friday.
The hours are not flexible and the post requires the applicant to start work at 08:00am.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist/Administrator to join us initially on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for a maximum of 12 months. This is a stand-alone position, applicants will need strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills, including Excel and Word together with previous reception and/or administration experience.
The successful applicant will be required to start work at 08:00am (this start time is non-negotiable). This is a term time plus 5 INSET days position, with two additional days in August, to assist with the A Level and GCSE examination result days.
Reporting to the Assistant Business Manager (HR), duties will include the management and development of the reception function in accordance to the school’s high standards and values. The successful applicant must have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and be able to communicate with staff, students, parents and carers, governors and a range of other external contacts. The successful applicant will need to respond to a range of issues, which may be difficult and may have exposure to emotionally demanding situations. This role is part of a team of administrative staff, therefore flexibility and cooperation is essential.
In addition to previous relevant experience, applicants should have a minimum of Level 2 in English & Maths (GCSE A* - C or the equivalent).
