Senior Admin Officer, Head of Children’s Centre, Business Manager

We are seeking to appoint an excellent Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to join our busy and vibrant outstanding school and Children’s Centre that celebrates the diversity of Islington and provides a wide range of integrated services from pre-birth to the end of Year 6.

You will provide administrative support to the Head of Children’s Centre and Senior Administration Officer (SAO) to ensure the smooth running of the Children’s Centre and contribute to our ambition to provide outstanding support and service to our local community.

 

You will be the first point of contact for our families, visitors, callers and the wider multiagency team; welcoming them, providing information and responding to a range of enquires.

 

We are looking for someone who:

·      Is warm and welcoming, caring and compassionate

·      Has a real passion for working within an education environment and helping others

·      Enjoys working independently, as part of a team and with a range of stakeholders

·      Can communicate effectively with children, staff, parents and partners in a professional and friendly manner

·      Is organised, creative and efficient and able to meet deadlines

·      Is flexible and adaptable to meet the ever-changing needs of the Children’s Centre

·      Has excellent administration skills and the ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly

·      Is highly proficient with ICT, including databases and Microsoft Office applications

·      Is positive and solution focused in their approach, with a good sense of humour

·      Is committed to delivering excellent customer service and improving systems

 

Role specific training will be provided.

 

The centre is open between 8am-6pm Monday-Friday, 49 weeks of the year.
