Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Morning Receptionist/LRC Assistant to join our committed and dynamic staff body.

Your opportunity

This is a pivotal role as you will be the first point of contact for all visitors to our academy and as such you will be representing our values and ethos. The successful appointee will have the confidence to work as a single point of welcome, being able to cope with the demands of answering the telephone, greeting visitors and accessing the electronic site entry system (often all at the same time). You would need to have good IT skills so that in quiet times you can assist with word processing and data entry, be a calm presence and show commitment towards the role and the academy. You would also work in the Learning Resource Centre during student lunch breaks to assist with book loans, computer use, helping with independent study etc.

You will play a vital role in ensuring Visitors and Parents are welcomed and assisted in a professional, efficient and timely manner at all times.

Harris Academy Merton is an 11-18 co-educational Academy for 1,500 students. The Academy opened in September 2006 on the site of the predecessor school. The Academy benefits from a brand new state-of-the-art Post 16 block and high quality buildings. Harris Merton is judged by Ofsted to be an Outstanding School.
