Actual annual salary: £16,520.80
Salary Scale Point 5 (range 5-6)
Pattern of hours – 7.30am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch and an early finish of 3.00pm one day each week (total 37 hours)
Term time only plus 11 additional days

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and adaptable receptionist to join our established Administration team within a school judged by OFSTED as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, a school where both student achievement and attitudes to learning are amongst the best in the region. We are a fantastic learning community, set in one of Yorkshire’s most scenic areas, whose facilities will soon be further enhanced by the completion of a multi-million pound refurbishment and expansion project.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all school enquiries and external stakeholders and we are looking for a new team member with strong communication and IT skills. You will be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to remain calm, composed and flexible within a busy and demanding environment. Previous experience of working as a receptionist is desirable but full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Summary of the post:
To work as directed providing full reception duties to all stakeholders, visitors and staff
To be proactive in dealing with routine and repetitive telephone enquiries ensuring that more specialist questions are transferred to the relevant person in a timely manner
Play a key role in the delivery of professional services within the Academy and to deliver basic administrative support
Listen to voicemails, responding accordingly
Throughout school holidays, (using a school iPad when at home) to share the monitoring of the admin inbox, forwarding messages to the most appropriate member of staff
