We are seeking to appoint a Receptionist to provide a responsive and professional service, managing both internal and external calls at the school. The post holder will act as front of house contact for all visitors to the site, deal with incoming post, and will possess good communication and interpersonal skills.  Fluency in Bengali is desirable, but not essential.

Applicants must possess sound literacy and keyboard skills, an excellent telephone manner, the ability to pay attention to detail and to work under pressure.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake training and professional development to learn new skills and to provide effective communication to the school.

Oaklands is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in East London. It is a community state school as well as a NSS (National Support School] that provides support to other schools. A smaller than average secondary school, it will provide 850 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18, when fully subscribed.

With over 20 years’ worth of educational success, Oaklands has been a specialist school for science since 2003 and became a specialist modern foreign language school in 2008.
