Are you an experienced tutor looking to support targeted students to help them achieve their full potential?
Your Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced mentor to lead subject specific work within small groups, both in the classroom and through withdrawal session. The role will involve running 1:1 subject specific work with targeted individual and organizing and leading revision sessions. The core purpose of the role is to plan and develop learning sessions under the direction of the subject lead to contribute towards effective learning, engagement and achievement. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing a programme to help support children address gaps in their learning as a result of Covid-19. This is an exciting opportunity to really make a different to the learning for identified individuals. The position is a fixed term contract starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year (July 2023). Please read the job description and person specification below for full details.

The Details
Salary: £20,500 to £23,814 FTE (Associate 3 Scale)
Hours of work: 33 hours per week (8am to 3pm Monday to Friday, Thursday 8am to 3.30pm), 39 weeks per year, term time only

Welcome to Aureus School, Didcot's only co-educational 11-16 comprehensive school. We opened our £19 million state of the art building in September 2017 in the Great Western Park and have been expanding our team each year.

Our School
We are a growing community and career prospects at Aureus are exciting. We currently have several professional development opportunities taken up by staff at all stages of their careers. Examples of the type of professional development include working towards Lead Practitioner, NPQSL and NPQH status. Subject specific professional development is a high priority and staff are encouraged to look outwards towards best practice.
