Recruitment Consultant

What is the role?

The school’s recruitment team support Tes’ client schools by connecting them with high-quality teaching and leadership candidates from within the extensive Tes network.

The key objective for this role is to contribute to the delivery of a search and selection operation that will enable school sales to achieve its commercial goals through the following three measures:

• Ensuring the company attains and maintains a market leading position in the provision of search and selection solutions in the academic sector.
• Winning and executing assignments with a strong emphasis on delivery and quality
• Working hand in hand with internal international School sales team and external schools/customers.

Key role responsibilities:

• Conducting briefing calls with schools to understand their recruitment needs.
• Searching for candidates using all appropriate methods, including database searches, and placing adverts on the Tes portal.
• Reviewing applications and conducting screening calls with candidates.
• Producing and presenting a shortlist of suitable candidates to the client.
• Managing and updating candidates and clients throughout the recruitment process.
• Carrying out other reasonable tasks from time to time as directed by the Head of Customer Services

Education and experience requirements:

Essential Skills

• Fast learner, customer driven and motivated by targets.
• Knowledge and experience In recruitment.
• Knowledge of the education sector, preferably with an awareness of some of the challenges within the sector(desirable).
• Possess strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and an ability to multitask, managing a number of recruitment assignments simultaneously
• Practical knowledge of recruitment systems and databases (desirable).
• An enthusiastic, energetic and hard-working team player who excels in a creative team environment.
• Experience of adopting a client focused and consultative approach; using their initiative to respond to the changing needs of teachers and schools(desirable)
• A proactive attitude and an ability to articulate thinking clearly.
