A rare and exciting opportunity has become available within our HR department for a Recruitment Officer to undertake a 12-month fixed-term contract.


The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that candidates and managers receive a great recruitment experience. The successful candidate will oversee the attraction and engagement of new staff across our three main campuses: Sandwell College, Central St. Michaels and Cadbury College.


You will play a significant and important role in shaping the candidate journey, networking and resourcing to ensure we attract top talent to ensure we are providing an outstanding student experience. This is a fast-paced environment so it is essential that you are able to manage a competing and changing list of priorities and work on a variety of different projects at any one time.


You will be driven, enthusiastic and have the ability to work at pace. This role will require you to use your own initiative but also be able to work as a wider team.


You will have proven ability to develop successful working relationships and possess excellent communication skills to guide and advise both internal and external stakeholders, including our senior team. You will be able to demonstrate strong commercial skills and an understanding of recruitment targets, budgets and the importance of salary bench marking. You will also ensure recruitment data is recorded accurately to feed into reports for Senior Management Teams to guide strategic decision making.


A proven track record of managing the end to end recruitment process including volume and hard to fill roles within an in-house recruitment role is required and also knowledge of using an ATS system to manage day-to-day recruitment. You will have strong organisation and re-prioritisation skills with the ability to work to deliver results to tight deadlines.


Knowledge of HR related policies and procedures would be beneficial. Experience of working with recruitment compliance, what best practice looks like and excellent attention to detail is essential.
