R.E.A.L Education provides both independent special schools placements and market leading alternative education.  We are seeking someone who has knowledge and experience of working in a SEN/D provision, working with children and young people to join our new team of Referral Intervention Teaching Assistants (RITA). 

The role of a RITA is to be the first point of contact for our Learners and their caregivers from the moment that they are referred into one of our provisions. Our Learners are often those students who struggle with mainstream education and require a more innovative and flexible working environment. The successful applicants will be responsible for fostering professional and supportive relationships with our Learners and caregivers to promote and ensure engagement with learning. 

This role is ideal for an experienced and person-centred Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting Learners to thrive both personally and educationally. 

To be successful in a RITA role, you must have extensive experience of working with children and young people who struggle to engage and maintain good relationships. You must also have resilience and emotional intelligence.
