Job overview

Deliver an excellent people service so our staff can prepare children for success.

Established in 2011, Academy Transformation Trust (ATT) is an exciting and successful family of 22 primary and secondary academies and further education providers, arranged in two regions across the Midlands, East Anglia and Essex. We proudly shape the futures of over 12,000 children and adult learners. Our academies are performing well, from starting points well below national expectations. Most of our academies are now at least Ofsted Good and standards have continually improved over recent years. To succeed, we need the most talented, passionate and capable people – and that’s where you come in.

Working closely with academies in our West region, you will provide a proactive HR service whilst supporting the Business Partner to shape the people strategy for the future. In particular, you will act as an advisor to academy leaders, teachers and support staff, collaborate with a team of HR administrators in academies, advising on employment practices, learning and development, pay and conditions, talent planning and disciplinary and grievance matters. Equally importantly, you will drive profound change to ensure we comply with evolving legislation – and above all that we remain an employer of choice.

A CIPD-qualified professional (or working towards this status), you will bring sound generalist HR experience gained in a fast-moving environment. This will have given you experience with case management, interpret and apply guidelines, advise senior management and define best practice. Familiarity with educational issues would naturally be useful, but your interpersonal, conflict resolution and influencing skills will be far more important.

The role is part-time – 30 hours per week.

In return, we offer flexible working arrangements with the convenience of being home-based (with regular travel to academies within your remit) you will also enjoy the comprehensive ATT Together Employee Benefits Scheme, a generous pension arrangement plus plenty of scope to develop your career.

Closing date: Friday 21st February 2020, midnight

Academy Transformation Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful applicant must undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and reference checks.
