Eastbury Primary School is a four form entry school in Barking and Dagenham. We are a fully inclusive school with our own Deaf ARP. Our school is set in a beautiful, modern building with a newly developed Forest School and outdoor reading area. We serve a catchment of wonderful children who have a real enthusiasm for learning.
We are seeking to appoint a midday play assistant to ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break period in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school. Ensure children are being nurtured through positive activities, so their wellbeing is being met.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- encourage good manners and high standards of behaviour
- have the energy, motivation and skill to promote and engage with games and play
- encourage and model good social interaction skills
- work as part of a team
- have a knowledge of first aid and behaviour management strategies
- be willing to undertake training

The successful candidate will have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people as stipulated by the Child Protection Policy. Safer Recruitment procedures are in place and any appointment will be subject to statutory checks including a DBS.

About Eastbury Primary School
Eastbury Primary School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational primary situated in Barking, Essex. It is sponsored by a multi-academy trust called Partnership Learning, which supports a network of seven schools in East London: three primaries, three secondaries and one special school. Eastbury will provide 944 places for students aged 3-11 when fully subscribed.
Eastbury converted to academy status in April 2016.
