The successful candidate will be able to teach RE in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The position is ideal for someone who has a background of successful classroom experience and who is ready to lead their own curriculum area.
With the support and guidance of the Humanities Performance Leader you will lead on all aspects of the teaching and learning of Religious Education; seeking to maximise the recruitment and achievement of students to GCSE and A-Level courses. Alongside all other Performance Leaders in the school your challenge will be to ensure that all students in your subject area enjoy learning and make outstanding progress. You will be part of a wider Humanities team and will, therefore, enjoy the support of experienced colleagues across the school.
You will also work alongside the Deputy Head Teacher (Curriculum) to provide opportunities within and beyond the RE curriculum to enable all students to develop a tolerance and respect for people with different faiths and beliefs.

The Kimberley School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Kimberley, Nottingham. It is an academy converter that is part of the East Midlands Education Trust, which operates six schools.
A larger than average secondary school, The Kimberley School provides 1,375 places for students between the ages of 11 and 18 when fully subscribed.
The Kimberley School reopened as an academy in September 2012; it was previously a foundation school with specialist technology college status. The East Midlands Education Trust was founded in September 2014.

The Kimberley School focuses on delivering strong academic results. It is a tolerant and welcoming place of learning that promotes traditional values, a sense of belonging and good student behaviour.
There have been a number of developments for school facilities over the years, most notably the introduction of a design and technology building in 2002, and an arts block with drama studio and media studies room in 2005. There are also high-quality facilities for sport, with playing fields, hockey pitches and a large leisure centre on-site.
