Are you passionate about Religious Education? The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational classroom practitioner who can teach RE to A Level.
The Palmer Catholic Academy is a very successful over-subscribed 11 – 18 mixed, voluntary aided, comprehensive academy in the London Borough of Redbridge. The RE Department is a thriving and well-resourced department that achieves very good exam results and contributes positively to the development of the Liturgical and wider life of the academy. All students study RE from years 7 to 11 and A Level Religious Philosophy and Ethics has been established for several years and enjoys a consistently high level of exam success.
The person appointed will be expected to have enthusiasm, commitment and vision to support the Head of Department and the dedicated team to further develop the department.
The Palmer Catholic Academy is committee to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. CPD
The Palmer Catholic Academy offers a diverse range of CPD activities that meet the needs and requirements of all staff at various stages of their professional career. Professional Development Groups allow staff to opt in to sessions that focus on particular areas of pedagogy to deepen understanding and share good practice. Opportunities are also given to emerging leaders to lead on various initiatives across the academy.
