About the role
The purpose of the University of Derby Innovation Hub is to lead the scoping, development and communication of exciting and sector leading strategies in relation to innovation technologies and pedagogies across the organisation.

The team is responsible for the development of test systems and prototypes which will enable the business to devise its ongoing strategy. The post-holder will write research articles and proposals to disseminate the good practice as a direct result of the projects been explored and implemented by the Innovation Hub. The post holder will also provide advice and guidance, within the context of the Innovation Hub, as to appropriate technologies, systems and products design.

The Research Assistant / Fellow will ideally have a PhD or Masters in a relevant discipline or relevant research experience in Teaching or Learning/ Educational Technology related discipline. Knowledge of educational pedagogues, strong quantitative and analytical skills, experience in drafting and submission to research publications, and being an innovative and inspirational team player are key skills identified for this role.

This role is a unique chance for a Masters' graduate who is currently completing their PhD, or an educationalist who has already become a Doctor in a relevant discipline, to land a fantastic, research and development job, working with a major local employer where people are at the heart of everything it does.
