Job overview

We are seeking to appoint two Resident Boarding Assistants/Matrons to join our boarding team at Monmouth School for Girls. One will be based in our Junior co-ed boarding house, housing years 3 - 8 and the other will be based in our Middle girls’ boarding house, housing years 9 – 11. You will be expected to live on site during term-time and you will be provided with a one-bedroom flat, suitable for a single person or couple.

The successful candidates will be passionate about boarding and possess a warm personality, excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to the welfare of the pupils in their care.

Monmouth School For Girls is an independent day and boarding school based in Monmouthshire for girls aged 11-18. 

The school was founded in 1892 and is part of the family of Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools, which owe their existence to William Jones, a liveryman of the Haberdashers’ Company, who bequeathed funds to establish a school in 1614. Entry to the school is selective and, where possible, pupils are interviewed.
