Beaudesert Park School, Gloucestershire, is one of the county’s leading independent co-educational day & flexi boarding schools for children aged 3 to 13. We are looking to recruit up to four Resident Graduate Assistants (RGAs) to join us for one academic year starting September 2019. The successful candidates will be willing, able and highly adaptable individuals who are interested in a teaching career and would relish the experience this post will offer in a highly successful prep school environment.
Under the direction and instruction of the Senior Master, the Resident Graduate Assistant (Boarding) (RGA Boarding) role provides essential support to pupils and staff particularly with respect to the pastoral development of pupils within the boarding house, along with sporting and co-curricular activities (trips, events, activities etc).
The successful candidate will reside in a small flat within the Girls Boarding House and will work with the team of matrons, nurses and Houseparents to support the health and well-being of boarders. The RGA Boarding will also participate in a full range of daytime duties including supporting pupils’ learning in the classroom,playing an active part in promoting the School’s main sports (rugby, hockey, football, netball and cricket) and offering extra-curricular activities.
Opportunities also exist to gain wider experience in developing your own talents and interests, for example in music, drama, art and DT.
Required September 2020 for one academic year.
Salary range: Competitive salary plus accommodation and meals
Hours: Term time only
