Job overview

Benenden School is looking for a Resident Matron to play a key pastoral role as part of our boarding team.

Benenden has approximately 200 students in the Sixth Form, most of whom board in one of four Sixth Form Houses. Collectively, the Houses form a Sixth Form Centre known as Founders. At Benenden we are passionate about education in its broadest sense. Our aim is that every pupil will leave at the end of the Sixth Form full of compassion and confidence to fulfil her ambition, embrace challenge and make a difference.

The role of a Resident Matron in Founders is incredibly rewarding, you will be working as part of a close team across two boarding houses and within the wider pastoral team of the school. You will work particularly closely with the resident Housemistresses and their Deputies in looking after the pupils, nurturing, and guiding them on a daily basis. There is a generous amount of time off each week too.

As an exceptional School, we want to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent at all levels so that our pupils feel and understand the power and depth of a diverse community. This means recruiting from the widest possible pool of talent, removing barriers that can prevent people from showing their full potential, and fostering a fully inclusive environment which maximises collaboration and empowers everyone.

If our values resonate with you, we would be delighted if you would consider joining our boarding team.
