The Royal Alexandra and Albert School is one of the largest state boarding schools in the UK and we are proud of our ‘outstanding’ boarding provision. We are a diverse and inclusive boarding community and we welcome applications for the above role.

We seek an outstanding individual for this position available in one of our boarding houses. This is ideal experience for future teachers or for those who wish to pursue a career related to working with young people. They are live-in posts and could be used as a steppingstone to a PGCE course or other work within a school environment.  As an employer we are committed to developing & training our staff through a wide range of career development opportunities & support.

Suitable applicants should have experience of working with young people in some capacity, with the essential characteristics of being understanding, kind and supportive and with an excellent sense of humour.   You will need to support the Head of House in the day to day running of the boarding house.  You must also be proactive, energetic and enjoy arranging and leading activities. Flexibility to respond to the unexpected and enthusiasm are essential, as are good organisational skills and a genuine interest in the welfare of students. There will also be opportunities for you to involve yourself in our broad & varied co-curricular programme.

Accommodation on site is offered plus annual salary of between £15,085-16,646 dependent on experience.
