Job Title:        Residential Childcare Worker


Location:         Holywell, Wales


Salary:             £21,420 - £22,460 per annum (£18,720 - £19,760 basic salary plus £2,700 per year sleep in payments)


Hours:            40 hours per week on a rota basis, 7am-11pm (1 in and then 2 off) plus avg 5 sleep ins per month


Contract:         Permanent

We are looking for responsible, caring people to join our fantastic team at Kinsale as a Residential Childcare Worker. As a Residential Childcare Worker you will support our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Our Residential Childcare Worker carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will chaperone the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips to the zoo, complete relevant paperwork, deliver personal care, undertake household tasks, and where appropriate administer medication.

Previous experience in a care setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. These roles are ideal for people working in customer facing industries including retail, hospitality and leisure, looking for a new role that makes a real difference to children’s lives and futures.


Already qualified to or willing to work towards your NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, able to work the required shifts, and be motivated to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.

Kinsale is located in a stunning rural location, overlooking the Dee Estuary. Our school provides specialist education and care for up to 25 students, aged 8 – 19 having a range of complex needs including ASC and ADHD, in addition to impaired social or cognitive functioning due to early life trauma and attachment difficulties.


For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
