Salary: £18,720 - £19,760 (£9.00 - £9.50ph) and £45 per sleep in (2 per month on average)
Other Benefits: £1000 per annum Unsociable Working Hours Allowance
Hours: 40 hours per week
You don’t need experience to become a Residential Childcare Worker, just be willing for a new challenge supporting our children and young people.

We are looking for responsible, caring people to join our fantastic team at Higford as a Residential Support Worker. As a Residential Support Worker you will support our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Our Residential Support Worker’s carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will chaperone the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips to the zoo, complete relevant paperwork, deliver personal care, undertake household tasks, and where appropriate administer medication.

Previous experience in a care setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.
Already qualified to or willing to work towards your Level 3 Diploma in Residential, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, able to work the required shifts, and be motivated to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.
Higford is a DfE registered school and OFSTED rated children’s home offering a purpose-built service specially designed to meet the educational and development needs of the children in our care.
