Vision for Education are currently recruiting for Residential Support Workers to support young people in special educational needs schools in Stockport. This role can be on a flexible basis depending on your situation.
For the role of a Residential Support Worker, you will be supporting young people who have both learning and physical difficulties within the classroom. You will be required to work closely with individual students under the guidance of the class teacher, helping them to achieve their daily learning goals. You will need to be resilient to work with challenging behaviors as well as have a nurturing and supportive approach to your practice.
The schools we work with in Stockport cater for pupils with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours and aim to provide the very best support for their students to assist their learning to have the best outcomes and make the best rates of progress that they possibly can.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for the Residential Support Worker position are:
Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant experience
Be passionate about working with students with additional learning needs
Have a positive, professional and person–centred approach
