Job overview

Start Date: March 2022.

Rugby School Online is an exciting new online revision programme for STEM subjects being brought to students by the Rugby School Group. We are currently seeking teachers of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics to teach our Easter A level revision program.   If successful you will be expected to teach a minimum of one revision course, on your specialist subject to a small group of students to help them prepare for their forthcoming examinations.

Each revision course is set to run over a 4-day period for the student group and you will be expected to teach the entire module as well as attending an initial one-day familiarisation/induction and training day.

Courses will be offered online and/or in class dependent on demand. Our 2022 course program runs from the 31 March 2022 until 19 April 2022 and will be likely structured as per the attached course structure document.

You will join a team of experienced teachers who will deliver our revision programme across this period. You can opt to teach for the full 3 weeks or 1 week as a minimum. Please confirm in your application (within a paragraph in your supporting statement) your preference of the number of courses you would wish to teach, the dates of these and also state whether you would prefer to teach face-to-face, online or are happy with both scenarios.

The typical teaching day will run from 8.45am to 5pm with additional marking and preparation.

Remuneration is competitive at £1,250 per week. If you are members of the Teachers Pensions Scheme your payments will be subject to the appropriate employee contribution deductions and the School will make employer contributions.

For classroom teaching accommodation will be provided.

We are an award winning school with over 450 years of education experience and in recognition of our efforts, we were recently awarded the 'Best use of Technology' award by the TES.

Each revision camp will run for one week per subject, with over 30 hours of live, interactive and bespoke content. You also have the option to bundle multiple revision courses together. For example, creating a three week revision programme that covers all three subjects.

We know that by providing structured, methodical, concept-specific guidance, our students will approach their exams with full confidence in their knowledge and with all the tools that they need to secure a top grade.
