Required for September 2018

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated RS teacher who is able to deliver RS to GCSE level. This is an exceptional opportunity for candidates to work within an innovative and supportive environment.   We can offer you:

  • A successful and ambitious school
  • A skilled, friendly, supportive and professional team of staff
  • A highly successful Humanities department, with strong outcomes on all measures •
  • A commitment to provide leadership training and professional development opportunities of the highest quality
  • The opportunity to work in an all-through school

Litcham is a small, popular, successful and rapidly growing all-through school. Children enjoy their time with us and are very keen to learn. In our last inspection, Ofsted judged us to be good with areas of outstanding practice.

The Humanities department is successful, experienced, supportive and vibrant. All subjects are popular options for GCSE and outcomes within Religious Studies are very strong. Litcham School wants to be a community where all students are valued equally. It celebrates both the efforts and achievements of all children. The school wants children to acquire the skills and confidence to succeed to the highest of their capabilities while in a happy and enjoyable environment. Citizenship is important to Litcham School, and it works to ensure that all students develop moral and spiritual values, and are accepting and open to all races, religions and cultures. The school has high expectations for each pupil and wishes to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities that they will encounter in their future years. Litcham School holds the National Sportsmark Award and offers a wide range of extra-curricular sports clubs for pupils to get involved in. It also has strong links with the West Norfolk Jubilee Yoth Orchestra and Concert Band and encourages children to learn a musical instrument during their time at the school.

Ofsted

“The school’s curriculum provides pupils with a broad and balanced range of subjects and wider enrichment activities which prepare them well for the next stage of their education, training or employment. Older pupils take part in ‘impact days’, where they receive additional careers guidance to enable them to make informed choices about their future education and pathway to employment”.
