Salary: £21 - £30 per hour according to qualifications/experience

Wycliffe College seeks a qualified and enthusiastic Rugby Coach to take a lead role in the delivery of Rugby in the Senior and Prep School during the Autumn Term (September – December 2021).  The main responsibilities will be coaching at the Senior School on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with matches on Saturdays as well as leading lunchtime skills sessions. Within the Prep School the successful applicant will take a team for matches on a Wednesday and coach across the age groups to develop rugby alongside the Director of Sport and other Coaches.

The successful applicant should be at least Level 2 qualified and recent coaching experience is essential. Ability to lead backs and have an understanding of Strength and Conditioning is also desirable.

Hours of work:

Monday 12:30pm to 5:30pm
Tuesday 12:30pm to 4:10pm
Wednesday 1pm to 5pm (Prep School fixture afternoon)
Friday 12:30pm to 4:30pm
Saturdays – afternoons when fixtures/training

Additional hours will be required for tournaments and fixtures outside these normal Games sessions.

About Us

Wycliffe is an HMC co-educational day and boarding school. Wycliffe is located in Stonehouse, approximately 25 miles north of Bristol and 15 miles south of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Access via the motorway network is convenient (we are 3 miles from the M5) and there is a train station in Stonehouse (on the main line from London to Cheltenham) which is just a two minute walk from the school gates. In the Senior School pupils join at Year 9 (age 13) and continue until Year 13 (age 18). There are around 420 pupils in the school and 225 in the Sixth Form. Some 27 subjects are offered at A Level including Japanese, Film Studies, Computer Science and Psychology. Three BTECs are on offer as well as the EPQ. Main sports are rugby, football and cricket for boys with hockey, netball and tennis for girls. Wycliffe is the top school in the UK for squash, and excels at rowing and basketball and there is a thriving CCF.
