St Thomas More is a GOOD, happy, caring school with outstanding behaviour. We provide an outstanding, engaging, creative, broad and balanced curriculum for our pupils.

The governors are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding and Family Engagement Officer to support our children and their families. The position is 30 hours per week, term time plus 5 training days.

Applicants from all faiths or none are welcome.


We are looking for applicants who have:

• Knowledge and experience of Early Help Assessments

• Experience of delivering family support

• Good standards of literacy and numeracy and competency with IT 

• Willingness to be part of a high performing team 

• Experience in supporting the inclusion of pupils with SEN and EAL 

• Ability to work using your own initiative at a highly professional level

• Able to liaise successfully with parents and professionals

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check paid for by the school and will require two satisfactory references.
