We are seeking to appoint an energetic and committed Safeguarding Manager to work as part of an experienced safeguarding team at the College. Working as one of the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, you will provide a safeguarding triage service to ascertain the required support for individual students and to co-ordinate the required actions. You will also, as the College’s Safeguarding Manager, contribute to the development and effective implementation of the College’s safeguarding policies and practices. This will include improving the awareness and understanding of safeguarding issues of students, colleagues and other relevant parties.

The successful candidate will have highly developed communication skills, excellent judgement and an ability to take effective actions in occasionally pressurised situations. A good knowledge of national safeguarding and child protection policies, and an ability to think strategically to put policy into practice would be desirable.  The successful candidate will be required to start as soon as possible.
