Required for June 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter, an experienced, knowledgeable, positive and determined Safeguarding Officer.
Our school prides itself on its supportive and open culture where we strive to ensure that our students are known and known well. You will work with the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and play a key role in the management of safeguarding in our school. You will often be the first contact for intervention and support for safeguarding issues, and so you will need to have the knowledge to triage and coordinate responses, as well as being confident in your dealings with students, parents and external agencies.
Shenfield High School retained its “GOOD” Ofsted rating in November 2018. We are a co-educational 11-18 academy school with a commitment to high standards, a holistic approach, student wellbeing and learning for life. We expect all staff to share this philosophy. Shenfield is conveniently and pleasantly situated close to Shenfield mainline station to London Liverpool Street - and what will be the eastern terminus of Crossrail’s Elizabeth Line - the towns of Brentwood and Billericay and to the Essex countryside.

About Shenfield High School
Shenfield High School is a co-educational, non-denominational 11-18 secondary school located in Brentwood, Essex. At its most recent inspection there were 1,145 students aged 11-18 on the school roll, 350 of whom studied in the sixth form. The area of Shenfield has a population of 5,500 and is serviced by a station on the Liverpool Street Line, which will be the final stop on the Crossrail Elizabeth Line.
Shenfield High School was opened in 1962 and converted to academy status in 2012.
