We are looking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer to assist with the management and organisation of the school, in seeking to achieve the highest standards of student safety and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will delivery of a range of high-quality safeguarding provision that supports identified students now and in the future and provides appropriate and timely support, training and intervention. This includes protective, preventative and restorative work, as appropriate.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

 The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure Barring Service Check.

Benton Park School is a mixed, mainstream, non-denominational school located in Rawton, Leeds. The school has a sixth form and admits students aged 11-18.

Benton Park School was founded in 1838 by Joseph Riley. It was built on the grounds of the old Benton Park house. It was demolished in 1957 but rebuilt by Sir John Burnet, Tait and Partners in the late 1950s.
