The Redhill Academy Trust Pay Scale Band 8, SP 36-40

£21,904 - £24,177 (fte) pro rata 

£18,450 - £20,364 (Actual salary paid)

Full Time – Term Time only

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced professional to take up the role of Safeguarding Officer. The Safeguarding Officer will work closely with the academy’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and safeguarding team as well as all academy staff, to ensure the effective implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures across the academy.  

 The successful candidate will provide advice, guidance and support for students and staff whilst working with the pastoral teams to plan and deliver interventions and support where appropriate. You will also need to keep up to date with your own professional development in line with the statutory guidance including Trust policies and Keeping Children Safe in Education to support the delivery of safeguarding training to academy staff.  

 To be successful for this role you will need to have an understanding and experience relating to safeguarding. An understanding of multi-agency working is preferable.

The academy is also a member of Redhill Teaching School Alliance and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and the chance to work alongside other high performing schools in the region.  Hall Park Academy became an academy, sponsored by The Redhill Academy Trust, on July 1st 2014.
