An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of a Safeguarding Officer at The Oxford Academy.  A Good school with Outstanding Leadership Management and Professional Development following and ranked in the top 0.2% of schools nationally and where behaviour in and around the school is positive.

We are looking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer who is highly organised, emotionally resilient and able to prioritise a conflicting workload.  Experience of working within an educational setting is desirable but not essential.  The successful candidate will need to have a good knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding procedures and must be a clear and effective communicator and have the ability to build and sustain appropriate relationships and manage personal and professional boundaries with children and young people.  

This role requires the successful candidate to possess a full clean driving license and be a car owner with availability to use their car in work.  There will be the need to adjust working hours to suit the needs and demands of the school which will include attending evening and early morning meetings.
