Kingsway Park High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Safeguarding Officer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students. As part of the Altus Education Partnership, we are committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all.
Our safeguarding team is a strong, collaborative group working closely to ensure no concern is missed. If you have experience in safeguarding, excellent relationship-building skills, and a desire to support young people, we would love to hear from you.
As Safeguarding Officer, you will:
- Manage and investigate low-level safeguarding concerns using CPOMS.
- Provide educational interventions on safeguarding topics such as online safety, boundaries, and self-esteem.
- Conduct welfare checks, home visits, and student interviews to support their well-being.
- Work closely with external agencies, making referrals and attending multi-agency meetings.
- Maintain safeguarding records and support policy compliance.
- Be a visible presence around the school, promoting a safe and supportive culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in safeguarding, youth work, education, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and external partners.
- Knowledge of CPOMS or a willingness to learn.
- A proactive, organised, and empathetic approach to safeguarding.
