Job overview

The Governors of Cansfield High School are looking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic Safeguarding Officer who can demonstrate that safeguarding is at the heart of all that they do. This is a one-year post in the first instance, however, there is a strong possibility that this will be made permanent.  The Safeguarding Officer, working with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, will be required to support the effective operation of the safeguarding team on a day to day basis, as required.  The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, parents, the LA and all associated agencies.  The successful applicant will act as a key worker for students as and when appropriate, creating and implementing systems appropriate to the role.  Attendance and participation in Child Protection conferences and planning and review meetings will be a key aspect of the role, some of which may take place out of normal working hours.

If you would like the challenge of working in a demanding and rewarding environment, then we want to hear from you.

If you would like to find out more about this role, please contact school on 01942 727391 and ask to speak to Mr Swain, Senior Assistant Headteacher / DSL.

It has dedicated itself consistently to working towards a goal of 100% attendance for all pupils. The school has also affirmed that it will use every opportunity it can to convey to pupils and their parents or carers the importance of regular and punctual attendance.
