The Director of Sailing and Water Sports at RHS is excited to be recruiting for a full-time Sailing Instructor. With facilities, equipment and access to sailing unrivalled in UK schools, the Sailing Department is unique in its offering to pupils and consequently seeks applications from enthusiastic candidates who are keen to be part of the development of sailing at RHS.

The Royal Hospital School has the following vacancy:


RHS is looking to appoint a capable and enthusiastic Sailing Instructor to a full-time post in the Sailing Department with effect from September 2021.

Responsibilities will include, working as part of the Sailing Department, providing instruction to the School’s pupils up to 6 days per week throughout the academic year and to be able to take a role in coaching school pupils ranging from beginners to students in our elite fleet and team racing squads.

The successful applicant will have a RYA Dinghy Instructor qualification and at least one year of experience teaching sailing. Ideally, they will also be competent in boat care and maintenance.

Candidates will have the energy and enthusiasm required to commit to a large boarding and day school.

Salary for this position will be in the region of £12k to £14 per year with accommodation and board included for the successful candidate.
