Swanbourne House School is a highly successful co-educational boarding and day prep school of 320 pupils, aged 3 to 13, based in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. An ISI outstanding school, Swanbourne combines excellent teaching, modern facilities and countless opportunities for pupils to grow in confidence and discover their talents. Swanbourne House is committed to providing the very highest standard of pastoral care and teaching and learning to ensure that every child is well looked after, happy and fulfilled.
In September 2019 we will be moving away from the traditional Common Entrance examinations as our main assessment framework towards a diverse and relevant curriculum designed for pupils working towards success at GCSE and beyond.
We are therefore keen to introduce beginners Spanish into our curriculum, as part of our Saturday enrichment programme for our Year 5 & 6 students. However, it is envisaged that this will grow to the teaching of Years 7 and 8 and possibly 13+ scholarship level. Spanish is currently taught by a peripatetic teacher for pupils who request individual lessons.
There are currently two full time teachers in the MFL department. We are looking to appoint an outstanding yet flexible and adaptable teacher who enjoys working with children, seeing them thrive and preparing them academically and holistically for the next stage in their education and life journey. This position would suit an experienced Teacher or an NQT.
