Job overview

Are you a teacher looking for your next challenge in a dynamic and growing organisation? The Oxbridge Applications team are currently recruiting for a School Account Manager to maintain relationships with client schools, lead exemplary events for students and deliver the commercial strategy to grow the business in this department.

Using your own experience of applying to either Oxford or Cambridge, as School Account Manager you will proactively engage with teachers and schools in the state and independent sectors, as well as internationally to plan, promote and deliver effective support programmes for students’ applications to competitive universities. You will manage schools’ academic needs and deliver bespoke educational services and events in schools. Working in a company that is dedicated to excellence in academia and supporting bright young people to achieve success, a large part of the work is face-to-face consultancy working with teachers and their students and helping them to develop confidence. You will take the lead on product development of future programmes, products and academic resources and work on strategy alongside the senior management team to promote our services to schools both in the UK and internationally to maximise growth in this area of the business. You will work with the Events team to deliver outstanding services to schools around the world, as well as present and run workshops to parents, students and teachers. This role allows you to utilise your commercial knowledge but also play a vital role in the success of schools’ in-house academic programmes. You will see the tangible and rewarding impact of your work and receive full training and opportunity for further professional development.

Established in 1999, Oxbridge Applications is the global leader in providing guidance and practical support for students applying to Oxford and Cambridge Universities, as well as the top medical and law schools in the UK. Our success is built on our first-hand knowledge of the process, our evidence-based approach on how to bring out the best result in students and our network which is made up of over 2,000 Oxford and Cambridge graduate consultants, tutors and admissions tutors. Our 20 years of experience provides the best possible insight into the application process and the most effective ways to prepare for university interviews. We offer the opportunity to work in a company that is dedicated to excellence in academia and supporting young people to achieve success. We also believe in developing our employees to reach their true potential, just as much as our students. This ethos of support and development is the backbone of all our services. Our unique position as part of a wider schools group, Dukes Education, affords employees additional opportunities for growth and development.

The successful candidate will:

• Have graduated from either Cambridge or Oxford University (undergraduate or masters level).

• Have sales or consultancy, public speaking or client relationship management experience.

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.

• Have strong management and leadership skills.

• Have a genuine desire to help young people reach their potential.

• Have teaching experience and a demonstrable understanding of the UK education sector (desirable).

The Package:

• Competitive salary + performance related bonus.

• 25 days holiday + paid Christmas closedown period.

• Central London office with a vibrant and challenging working environment.

• Excellent career development opportunities.

Dukes Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
