Oare C of E Primary School is a small rural school with big ambitions. Set in a picturesque part of Wiltshire, our WE CARE values drive all that we do, ensuring that we all learn and grow together. Nurturing all children from the moment they start their learning journey with us, we form the roots from which our children are able to grow into well educated, caring and loving young people.

We are rightly proud of our WE CARE curriculum which is centred on six broad themes of global citizenship that ensures our learners are aware and understand the wider world – and their place in it. It ensures they are equipped to take an active role in their community and work with others to make our planet more equal, more fair and more sustainable. Our pupils believe that they can make a difference.

Due to the promotion of our current administrator, we are seeking a school administration officer to join our forward-thinking team, working alongside the Principal, Finance Officer and School Business Manager, to ensure that the high ambitions we have for our pupils is reflected in the operational side of the school.

We can offer you:

  • a dynamic and innovative school
  • staff who love to work as a team and who have a sense of fun
  • the opportunity to collaborate with a team of experienced administrators in schools across the trust
  • a strong commitment to your on-going professional development
  • support and further opportunities for professional development as part of Excalibur Academies Trust.

In return we are looking for someone who:

  • is supportive and approachable, someone who works well as part of a team with the ability to work on your own as well as with others
  • is reliable, resourceful and adaptable
  • has efficient time management skills
  • has a good sense of humour
  • has a commitment to continual professional development
  • has administration experience, preferably within a school environment (but not essential)
  • is experienced and confident in using different IT programs and systems
  • has good organisational skills
  • can engage with new challenges, positively and with determination
  • has good PR skills, including a friendly ‘face to face’ and phone manner

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school office 01672 562256 to arrange this. More information about our school can be found at
