This is an exciting opportunity to join the school’s Central Administrative team as School Administrator. A friendly ‘can do’ approach, good communication skills and accurate IT skills are essential for this role. Key duties include dealing with a range of enquiries by telephone, face to face and email; and using Microsoft Excel and the school's SIMS database to process data.
The hours of work are 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 4 pm on Fridays, with an hour lunch break each day.
We are part of The Education Alliance, a growing multi-academy trust, currently consisting of South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College, Malet Lambert School, Driffield School and Sixth Form, The Snaith School, Hunsley Primary School, North Cave Church of England Primary School and Yorkshire Wolds Teacher Training. We are here to make great schools and happier, stronger communities so that people have better lives. We do this by always doing what is right, trusting each other and standing shoulder to shoulder and doing what we know makes the difference. Doing what is right means always acting with integrity, in the interests of others and being honest, open and transparent.
As a school, we value and prioritise the continuing development of our staff. This comes in a variety of forms, through subject specific professional development delivered in department time, regular teaching and learning workshops, INSET days and through our close links with the Wolds TSA.
Driffield School is based in the heart of the bucolic Yorkshire Wolds and is easily accessible from local towns and cities (with commutes of 20 minutes from Beverley, 30 minutes from Scarborough and 40 minutes from York or Hull).
Driffield School is on an exciting upward trajectory; we are immensely proud of our students and would welcome the opportunity to meet you and show you around our school community. If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Sue Lord (HR Manager) in the first instance on 01377 253631 or by email via email@example.com.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on 14 October 2021 and interviews will be held on 21 October 2021.
Driffield School and Sixth Form is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required prior to appointment.
