Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week – the school is open from 8am to 6pm, 48 weeks of the year and staff work within a shift system. This is a permanent position.

Person specification:

As our ideal school administrator, you will have excellent administration and communication skills, great attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team. As part of a busy school environment, the ability to deal with parents, pupils and visitors, in a polite and helpful manner is required. Experience of working in schools is desirable but not essential. You will be educated to A Level, with GCSE passes in English and Maths (essential) or hold a Degree (highly desirable). 

Key responsibilities:

This position involves timetabling and rearrangements of individual music lessons including administering for two exam centres, assisting the Principal or school leaders whenever requested with administration duties, ordering supplies and organising festivals and concerts. You will also be responsible for compiling the weekly newsletter, therefore strong writing and editing skills are essential for this position. Excellent spelling, grammar and proofing skills are needed in this role.
