About our Academy

The Bobby Moore Academy offers a world-class education for the children of East London. With an iconic integrated 4-18 site adjacent to the Olympic Stadium, we opened the doors to our very first cohort of Year 7 students in September 2017. The school has quickly established a strong reputation for excellent pastoral care, behaviour for learning and our pupils’ high standards of uniform, manners and conduct.

In September 2018, a further 180 Y7s will join in the new secondary site, as well as reception classes in the Primary building. With outstanding facilities for learning, growth and creativity, we’re focusing on laying great foundations for the future.

About the role

· The role of a School Administrator is extremely varied. You will be responsible for day-to-day system/administration tasks, liaising with parents both in person and over the telephone, ensuring daily registers are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

· In your new job role you will also play a key part in driving the school’s short and long term vision and will provide an exceptional service to all contacts both internally and externally. 

· 37 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (term time only)

· Permanent vacancy

Who we are looking for

o GCSEs in English and Mathematics or equivalent

o Innovative skills and knowledge of developing and management of relevant administrative/financial procedures, including use of relevant ICT packages and systems 

o Sound knowledge and understanding of data protection, safeguarding and confidentiality issues - training will be provided

o  Analytical skills for interpreting data and complex information

o Proven ability for record keeping, information retrieval and dissemination of data/documentation to relevant parties

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide advice, guidance and support across all levels on a range of non-teaching issues

o Establish and maintain effective and constructive relationships with all staff members, pupils, parents/guardians, communicating with them as appropriate to share information and inform them of academy business through daily contacts and written communications

o Significant office experience in an administrative role with experience of working in a supervisory role with a clear understanding of the need for confidentiality

o Excellent organisational and time management skills, competent in meeting tight deadlines and comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion

o Manage office and assist associates in ways that optimise procedures

o Schedule and plan meetings and appointments across the organisation

o Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving. Resolve office related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results

o Extensive knowledge of office systems

o Keyboard skills for systems analysis and use of finance management systems
